Shady Knoll Home is owned by Greg Peer and GSP of Grantburg, Inc.
Greg is actively involved in the day-to-day management of Shady Knoll and is also on the Board of Directors. Currently there are five board members.
Shady Knoll Board of Directors
- Carol Ahlquist – Carol is a registered nurse and is the “Director of Nursing” for the Continuing Care Center at the Burnett Medical Center.
- Tom & Audrey Richards – Tom and Audrey are the previous owners (for 24 years) of Shady Knoll Home. Audrey is a registered nurse.
- Stanley Peer – Stanley is a former banker and is the financial consultant.
- Greg Peer – Greg is the owner/operator (business manager) of Shady Knoll Home. Greg is a lifelong resident of Grantsburg and has a background in business administration.
Shady Knoll is staffed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s) that are dedicated to serving the residents of Shady Knoll and providing quality care and friendship, not just “doing their jobs.” Staff complete annual state certified classes in the following areas:

- Medication Distribution
- Advanced Aged
- Resident Needs Assessments
- Dietary
- Blood Borne Pathogens
- Challenging Behaviors
- Fire Safety
